Barn Fresh Episode 1, Finding the project bike

Kawasaki F5 Big Horn
Starting the process, watch all the episodes to see the transformation.
Extracting the bike from the depths of the dusty tomb...

Before starting any restoration project whether it be a neglected modern bike or a vintage bike one needs to consider several factors.  What do you want to restore?  What is your budget?  What is the availability of the parts for said project bike?  What kind of condition will the project be in?  Where are you going to find your project?  Episode 1 explores these questions as you ride along with me as I locate and extract the motorcycle that I will end up restoring in this series.  In this video you will see: finding 3 bikes in a barn, bike 1. 1970 Kawasaki F5 Big Horn 350, bikes 2 and 3 are 1974 Kawasaki F9 350's (Big Horn) in varying states of completeness.  You can see what I do with the two F9's in The F9 Project, a vintage motocross build.  Below are some "behind the scenes" pictures from this episode.  See the beginning of this restoration and where I pulled the project bike out of.  Leave a comment if you like.
