Barn Fresh Episode 4, sourcing parts

Kawasaki pinion gear socketSpecial socket for removing the oil pump pinion gear/nut
In this episode we measure for parts and evaluate the old parts to see if they need to be replaced or refurbished.  This video will show how to measure a cylinder, crank bearings, and other parts related to the top end of the engine.  These procedures are required before any rebuild or ordering any new parts.  Note: to remove the pinion gear nut that drives the oil pump and holds the primary gear on the crankshaft this special socket (pictured left) must be used OR one needs to be fashioned.

Kawasaki F5, F9, F8, F81M cylinder head torque specs:

8mm (small bolts) 18 ft-lbs
10mm (large bolts) 25 ft-lbs

Don't forget Rocky Mountain ATV/MC has OEM parts for all the major brands whether it be Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Polaris, or KTM
