I have always been one to want to replicate the factory packaging for vintage toys. This is a log harder than it looks. In most cases my attempts come close, but in most cases they fall under "custom". In this case I am doing it as part of the gift. I restored this very same model of Tonka Forklift in another video which can be seen below, however the main attraction is the video showing the FULL process of making the box from scratch. I also made some scale wooden pallet for the forklift to lift.
I am also always looking for tips or suggestions on how to do it better, so if you stumble upon this post. Leave a comment on the video or this blog post and let me know if you have any tricks for replicating factory style toy packaging. I would love to hear it! |
